THE ORIGINS OF FALAFEL

THE ORIGINS OF FALAFEL...

Falafel is generally thought to have been invented 1,000 years ago by the Egyptian Copts, who spread the dish further across the Middle East. The main ingredient of Falafel was (and still is in Egypt today) fava beans. Over the years, the use of chickpeas has become more popular. Combined with herbs such as cumin, Falafel has become a real tasty treat. It is a very good meat substitute and with the crispy outside and soft inside, Falafel is delicious to eat in a wrap with tahini, or just on its own
