Shawarma Chicken Samboosa Pastries

Many think that the “Samosa” comes from India, but this dish actually originated in the Middle East. There it is called a Samboosa; a delicious filo pastry snack filled with MEZEAST chicken Shawarma seasoning mix. You only need 4 ingredients for this tasty snack!

Prepare the filling

Mix the chicken with the MEZEAST Shawarma Seasoning Mix and 2 tbsp oil. Fry the chicken in a nonstick pan until cooked through. Remove the chicken from the heat and mix in the parsley (optional).

Make the Samboosas

Place a sheet of filo dough on a clean work board, making sure that each sheet is about 4 fingers wide (rectangular). Fill the end of the filo pastry leaf with the chicken filling and roll the Samboosa into a triangle. Repeat this with the rest of the filling and the filo pastry.

Fry or fry the Samboosas
15 Min
Brush the Samboosa with oil and bake in the oven (15-20 minutes at 180 degrees). For a more indulgent Samboosa, fry the Samboosa in hot oil until golden brown.
